Privacy
Winnow has no backend, no analytics, and no account system. There is almost nothing to disclose, and this page exists to say exactly that.
What Winnow reads
The extension reads the posts already displayed in your browser on x.com: the timestamp, the public view, reply and like counts, the author's handle, and the post text. It uses them to compute a score, applies a highlight, and discards them. None of it is stored and none of it is transmitted anywhere.
What Winnow stores
Your settings — keywords, handle blacklist, thresholds — and, if you have bought a
licence, your licence key and the cached result of its last check. All of it lives in
chrome.storage.local on your own machine. Uninstalling the extension removes
it.
What Winnow sends
One thing: if you enter a licence key, that key is sent to Lemon Squeezy's licence API to activate it, and again about once a week to confirm it is still valid. That request contains the licence key and an anonymous random identifier for your browser profile, and nothing else. No post content, no handles, no browsing history, no identifiers we could tie back to you.
If you never enter a licence key, Winnow makes no network requests at all.
What Winnow does not do
It does not use your X account, ask for your login, or use the X API. It does not post, reply, like, follow, or click anything on your behalf. It does not run analytics or telemetry of any kind. It does not send anything to a server operated by us, because there is no such server. It does not use an LLM or any external service to score posts.
Payment data
Purchases are handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy, who act as merchant of record. Card details never reach us — we only ever see that a licence key exists and whether it is valid.
This website
Everything above is about the extension. This marketing site is a separate, static page, and it does load one third-party script: Lemon Squeezy's affiliate tracking script, which sets a cookie so an affiliate gets credit if you buy after clicking their link. It runs only on this site, never inside the extension or on x.com.
